Apple & Cinnamon Flax Oat Squares

Serves: 8 squares

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons freshly ground Flax Seed, whole
  • 1½ cups rolled oats
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon (Vietnamese) Powder
  • ¼ cup milk or oat milk
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons neutral cooking oil

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and line a small loaf pan with parchment. Grind the flax seeds before measuring.
  2. Mix all ingredients and let stand for 10 minutes so the oats and flax absorb the liquid. Press firmly into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the center is set and the edges are golden. Cool completely before cutting into eight squares.
