Plum & Cinnamon Spiced Fruit Compote with Cardamom (Decorticated), whole

Ingredients
- ⅛ teaspoon Cardamom (Decorticated), whole
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups ripe plums, pitted and diced
- ¼ teaspoon Cinnamon (Vietnamese) Powder
- 2 tablespoons Cinnamon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Method
- Grind the cardamom seeds before measuring, if whole. Stir into 1 cup warm water.
- Place the fruit, prepared mixture, sugar and cinnamon in a saucepan. Simmer gently for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fruit softens and the juices thicken slightly.
- Stir in the lemon juice. Spoon over toast or plain yogurt; refrigerate any remainder promptly.
