Golden Flower Oolong
Our Golden Flower Oolong is grown in the misty mountains Anxi County in Fujian, China under its given name of Huang Jin Gui. It is a rolled leaf style, low oxidation oolong that offers sweet, floral notes of honeysuckle, osmanthus and a subtle creaminess. How to brew
- Tea: 2.5 g of dry tea per 8 fl oz (240 ml) of water
- Water temperature: 195°F (91°C)
- Steep time: 3–5 minutes, then strain or remove the tea bag.
- Cups per ounce: Approximately 11 cups per ounce (28.35 g), using 2.5 g per 8-fl-oz cup. This estimate counts the first infusion only.
Start with this guide and adjust to taste. A larger mug or stronger brew uses more tea and makes fewer cups per ounce.

Peach & Almond Tea Rice Pudding with Golden Flower Oolong

Ingredients
- 2.5 g Golden Flower Oolong
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup ripe peach, pitted and diced
- 2 tablespoons toasted sliced almonds
- 1½ cups cooked rice
- 1 cup milk or oat milk
- 2 tablespoons Vanilla Bean Sugar
Method
- Heat 1 cup water to 195°F. Steep the Golden Flower Oolong for 3–5 minutes, then strain or remove the tea bag.
- Combine the strained tea, cooked rice, milk, sugar and almonds in a saucepan. Simmer gently for 15–20 minutes, stirring often, until creamy.
- Fold in the fruit and warm for 2 minutes. Divide into bowls. Refrigerate leftovers promptly.
