Rose Hips Organic
Organic rose hips are the dried fruit of rose plants. Their tart, fruity taste and warm reddish color make them useful in herbal infusions as well as cooked fruit preparations.
Use them in jams, jellies, marmalades, syrups and cordials, or add a little rose hip to mulled cider. Pair them with hibiscus or orange peel for a brighter cup. Check the package for whether this lot contains seeds and for its preparation directions.
How to brew
- Tea: 4 g of dry tea per 8 fl oz (240 ml) of water
- Water temperature: 212°F (100°C)
- Steep time: 5–7 minutes, then strain or remove the tea bag.
- Cups per ounce: Approximately 7 cups per ounce (28.35 g), using 4 g per 8-fl-oz cup. This estimate counts the first infusion only.
Start with this guide and adjust to taste. A larger mug or stronger brew uses more tea and makes fewer cups per ounce.
