Lemoncello
Lemoncello is a citrus-forward blend of yerba mate, green tea and matcha with lemongrass and lemon verbena. It is a leaf tea blend that includes matcha, so expect bright lemon aroma over a gently green, herbaceous base.
Our original tasting notes describe a clean, crisp citrus finish. Steep at the green-tea temperature below to keep the cup smooth, or chill it for a refreshing iced version. The mate and tea both contribute caffeine.

How to brew
- Tea: 2.5 g of dry tea per 8 fl oz (240 ml) of water
- Water temperature: 175°F (79°C)
- Steep time: 2–3 minutes, then strain or remove the tea bag.
- Cups per ounce: Approximately 11 cups per ounce (28.35 g), using 2.5 g per 8-fl-oz cup. This estimate counts the first infusion only.
Start with this guide and adjust to taste. A larger mug or stronger brew uses more tea and makes fewer cups per ounce.

Raspberry & Lemon Tea-Dressed Fruit Salad with Lemoncello
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 2.5 g Lemoncello
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups raspberries
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
- 1 cup halved seedless grapes
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Sugar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Method
- Heat 1 cup water to 175°F. Steep the Lemoncello for 2–3 minutes, then strain or remove the tea bag.
- Dissolve the sugar in the tea and chill. Whisk ¼ cup cold tea with the lime juice and lemon zest; reserve the remaining tea to drink.
- Toss the fruit and grapes with the dressing. Let stand in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before serving.
