Earl Grey Decaf
Earl Grey Decaf brings the citrus perfume of bergamot to a decaffeinated black tea base. The listed blend also includes cornflower, which adds flecks of color among the leaf.
Our tasting notes describe a fragrant, gently sweet citrus aroma and a familiar Earl Grey body. Brew it for the black-tea time below and enjoy plain, with milk, or chilled with a slice of citrus. Check the package for details of the decaffeination process.
Ingredients: Decaf Black Tea, Cornflower Petals, Bergamot Flavor
How to brew
- Tea: 2.5 g of dry tea per 8 fl oz (240 ml) of water
- Water temperature: 212°F (100°C)
- Steep time: 3–5 minutes, then strain or remove the tea bag.
- Cups per ounce: Approximately 11 cups per ounce (28.35 g), using 2.5 g per 8-fl-oz cup. This estimate counts the first infusion only.
Start with this guide and adjust to taste. A larger mug or stronger brew uses more tea and makes fewer cups per ounce.

Mango & Lime Apple-Juice Tea Cooler with Earl Grey Decaf

Ingredients
- 2.5 g Earl Grey Decaf
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup ripe mango, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lime zest
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Sugar
- ½ cup chilled unsweetened apple juice
- ½ cup cold water
- Ice
Method
- Heat 1 cup water to 212°F. Steep the Earl Grey Decaf for 3–5 minutes, then strain or remove the tea bag.
- Stir the sugar into the tea and chill. Mash the fruit with the lime zest in a pitcher.
- Add the tea, apple juice and cold water. Divide between two ice-filled glasses.
