This fantastic spice blend is for beer lovers. The balance of hops with a myriad of spices gives a flavorful home-brewed taste to any meat. Add 1/2 cup beer or water, 2tblsp oil, and 2tbsp white or apple cider vinegar to 1oz Backyard Brew Marinade; pour over 2lbs chicken, beef, pork, or shrimp. Mix and marinade meat in refrigerator for 15 minutes or longer for extra flavor. Enjoy!

Asparagus & Pea Pita Pockets with Backyard Brew Marinade

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon Backyard Brew Marinade
- 1 tablespoon Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cups asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 cups thawed peas
- 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil
- 4 pita breads
- ½ cup hummus
- ½ cup crumbled feta
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
Method
- Mix the featured seasoning with the olive oil and lemon juice.
- Heat the neutral oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces and thawed peas. Cook for 3 minutes, then add ¼ cup water, cover and cook for 8–15 minutes, until tender. Uncover to evaporate excess water.
- Toss the cooked vegetables with the seasoning mixture. Warm and split the pita breads. Spread with hummus, then fill with lettuce, vegetables and feta.
